Aim and Scope
Jurnal Penalaran dan Riset Matematika (PRISMA) is a national scientific journal that applies an open-access system and peer review. PRISMA is published by Almeera Education twice a year, in April and October.
PRISMA aims to provide a scholarly publication platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and education practitioners to disseminate research findings that contribute to the development of theory, methodology, and practice in mathematics education.
The journal accepts original research articles using quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, experimental, correlational, and design and development research approaches in the field of mathematics education.
The principal scope of PRISMA includes:

- Mathematics Education Design and Development Research: research on the design, development, implementation, validation, and evaluation of models, learning tools, media, teaching materials, and mathematics learning assessment instruments.
- PISA Questions and Mathematical Literacy: research on mathematical literacy, numeracy, development and analysis of PISA-based questions, and assessment of mathematical abilities.
- Mathematical Abilities: research on critical thinking, creative thinking, reasoning, communication, representation, connections, problem solving, and mathematical conceptual understanding.
- Information and Communication Technology in Mathematics Education: research on the application of information technology, mathematical software, digital learning, artificial intelligence, and educational technology in mathematics learning.
- Lesson Study in Mathematics Education: research on planning, implementation, observation, reflection, and the professional development of mathematics teachers through lesson study.
- Ethnomathematics: research exploring mathematical concepts in culture and community practices and integrating local cultural knowledge into mathematics learning.
PRISMA prioritizes manuscripts with a clear scientific contribution, accountable methodology, findings supported by empirical evidence, and implications relevant to the advancement of mathematics education.
