Copyright
PRISMA proposes a policy under which authors retain copyright over their published articles.
Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant PRISMA a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, archive, and disseminate the article as part of the journal’s official publication.
Authors retain the right to:
- Use the article for research and teaching activities.
- Deposit the article in an institutional or academic repository.
- Develop follow-up research while appropriately citing the previous publication.
- Distribute the article in accordance with the applicable license.
Authors must ensure that the use of images, tables, instruments, and materials belonging to other parties complies with copyright requirements.
These copyright provisions apply after formal adoption and do not automatically alter copyright agreements for articles previously published.
